Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when using BioData PH.
1. Who we are
BioData PH (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the website biodata-ph.com and the BioData PH Mobile Application (available for Android and iOS). We provide free resume-building tools tailored for job seekers in the Philippines and worldwide.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information across our website and mobile application. We operate in full compliance with the Republic Act No. 10173 — Data Privacy Act of 2012 (DPA) of the Philippines, Google Publisher Policies, Google Play Store Data Safety guidelines, and where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
2. Website vs. Mobile Application platform
We maintain a clear distinction between how data is handled on our Website versus our Mobile Application:
- Website Visitors (No Account Required): Website users can build, edit, and download resumes with no registration or account creation. All resume text and personal details remain strictly inside your device's web browser memory or local storage. They are never sent to or stored on our web servers.
- Mobile Application Users (Optional/Required Supabase Account): Users of our Mobile App can choose to create an account or sign in using Supabase Authentication. Creating an account enables features such as cloud backup, saving multiple resume drafts, and syncing resumes across devices.
3. Data we collect
A. Automatically Collected Technical Data
When you access BioData PH (web or mobile app), we automatically collect standard diagnostic and device telemetry to ensure operational performance, app security, and analytics:
- IP address (anonymized)
- Device model, hardware type, and operating system (e.g., Android version, iOS version, browser user-agent)
- Mobile Advertising Identifiers (Google Advertising ID / AAID on Android, Apple Identifier for Advertisers / IDFA on iOS)
- App usage metrics (pages viewed, screen navigation, button taps, app launch frequency)
- Crash logs and system diagnostics
B. Account & Profile Data (Mobile App Users Only)
When you create an account in our mobile application, we collect and store the following information via Supabase:
- Account Credentials: Email address, hashed/encrypted password, or social sign-in identifier (e.g., Google Sign-In UID).
- User Profile Data: Profile name, preferences, and account creation timestamp.
- Cloud-Saved Resume Content: Resume title, personal summary, work experience, education, skills, references, and template customizations saved to your account.
C. Contact & Support Inquiries
If you submit a message via our website Contact Form or email us, we collect your full name, email address, inquiry category (e.g., Data Deletion, Feature Recommendation, Bug Report), and message content solely to fulfill your request.
4. Mobile App accounts & Supabase Cloud Storage
We do not sell, rent, or monetize your account details or cloud-synced resume contents. Your account data is used strictly for authentication, authorization, and serving your saved resumes back to your authenticated device.
5. Advertising (Google AdSense & Google AdMob)
To keep BioData PH free for all users, we partner with Google to serve advertisements across our website and mobile app:
- Google AdSense (Web): Displays banner and responsive web ads on website pages. AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on your visit to BioData PH and other sites on the Internet.
- Google AdMob (Mobile App): Displays banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads within the mobile application. AdMob utilizes mobile advertising IDs (AAID/IDFA) to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, prevent ad fraud, and measure ad viewability.
Google may collect data such as device identifiers, IP addresses, and ad interaction metrics to deliver personalized advertising. You can learn more about how Google uses data by visiting How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Opting Out of Personalized Ads: You can manage or disable ad personalization at any time:
- Web Ads: Visit Google Ad Settings or NAI Consumer Opt-Out.
- Android: Go to Settings → Google → Ads → Reset or Delete Advertising ID.
- iOS: Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and toggle off permission for apps.
7. Third-party SDKs & Services
We integrate trusted third-party services to operate BioData PH. Each provider processes data according to their respective privacy policies:
- Supabase — Mobile account authentication & cloud database. Privacy Policy
- Google AdMob & AdSense — Advertising delivery & ad measurement. Privacy Policy
- Google Play Services — Android core platform services. Privacy Policy
- Vercel — Web hosting & edge analytics. Privacy Policy
- Web3Forms — Processing contact form submissions. Privacy Policy
8. Data retention & Account / Data Deletion
A. Website Users
Because website resume data is stored locally inside your browser, clearing your browser cookies and local storage immediately erases all saved draft data on your device. We hold no web resume data on our servers.
B. Mobile App Account & Data Deletion
Mobile App users who created an account via Supabase can delete their account and associated data in two ways:
- In-App Account Deletion: Open the BioData PH Mobile App → Navigate to Account Settings → Tap "Delete Account". This instantly purges your authentication record, user profile, and all synced resume drafts from our Supabase cloud database.
- Website Contact Form (No Login Required): If you cannot access the app, visit our website Contact Page, select "Data Deletion / Account Deletion Request" as the inquiry type, provide your registered Mobile Account Email, and submit the request. We will verify and permanently purge your Supabase account data within 48 to 72 hours.
9. Your rights (DPA 2012 & GDPR)
Under Republic Act No. 10173 (Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012) and applicable privacy regulations, you hold the following rights:
- Right to be informed: Clear disclosure of how your data is collected and processed.
- Right to access & data portability: Request a copy of your personal data stored in your Supabase account.
- Right to rectification: Correct incomplete or inaccurate profile information.
- Right to erasure (right to be forgotten): Permanent removal of your account and cloud data.
- Right to object: Opt out of targeted advertising or telemetry collection.
To exercise any of these rights, email our Data Privacy desk at joshua@biodata-ph.com or use our Contact Form.
10. Children’s privacy
BioData PH services (web and mobile app) are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data or advertising identifiers from children under 13. If we discover a child under 13 has created a mobile account, we will immediately terminate the account and purge all associated data.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in legal requirements, third-party SDK updates, or new platform features. When material updates occur, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and notify mobile app users via in-app banner or update notice.
