1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using biodata-ph.com (“the Site”) or downloading and using the BioData PH Mobile Application (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site or App.

These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and others who access or use BioData PH services. We may update these Terms at any time, and your continued use after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. The service & platforms

BioData PH provides online and mobile resume builder services designed for job seekers. Our platform includes:

Website Service: Free resume templates and PDF generator running locally in your browser with no account required.
Mobile Application: Mobile app offering resume creation, template customization, and optional account synchronization across devices via Supabase.
Educational Content: Career guidance articles, biodata guides, and resume optimization tips published on our blog.
Rewarded Features: Additional resume templates unlocked via short rewarded video ads or optional upgrade.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Site or App at any time without prior notice.

3. Mobile App user accounts (Supabase)

Account creation is available exclusively for Mobile App users via Supabase Authentication:

Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities conducted under your account.
Accuracy: You agree to provide a valid email address when registering an account.
Account & Data Erasure: You can delete your account at any time directly inside the Mobile App settings or by submitting a Data Deletion Request on our website Contact Page. Account deletion permanently removes your account credentials and cloud-synced resumes from our Supabase database.
Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our prohibited use rules or engage in fraudulent activities.

4. Your content & resume ownership

You retain 100% ownership of all text, personal information, work experience, and data you input into the BioData PH resume builder (web or app).

Website Processing: On the website, your resume data remains on your local device and is never stored on our servers.
Mobile Cloud Sync: For registered mobile app users, your saved resumes are stored securely in our Supabase cloud database solely to deliver cross-device sync to your account.
User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy, truthfulness, and legality of the information included in your resumes. BioData PH does not act as an employer or recruitment agency.

5. Intellectual property

All non-user content on BioData PH — including software code, website and mobile app designs, resume layout formats, blog articles, graphics, and logos — is owned by BioData PH or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our tools to create personal resumes for job applications. You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell, or distribute our templates, app code, or site materials for commercial gain without prior written consent.

6. Prohibited use & conduct

You agree not to use BioData PH (web or mobile app) to:

Violate any local, national, or international law or regulation.
Create fraudulent, illegal, or deceptive employment documents.
Scrape, crawl, extract, or reverse-engineer data, source code, or template designs.
Attempt unauthorized access to our servers, Supabase database, or backend services.
Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to generate bulk resumes or artificially interact with ads.
Bypass or attempt to disable ad placement, rewarded ad unlock triggers, or premium upgrade security.
Impersonate any individual or entity.

7. Advertising (AdSense & AdMob)

BioData PH is monetized and supported through third-party advertising partners, including Google AdSense (website ads) and Google AdMob (mobile application ads):

Advertisements may be displayed on web pages and mobile app screens.
Certain premium templates may be unlocked by voluntarily viewing a short rewarded video ad.
Ads are delivered by third-party ad networks (Google). We do not control or endorse individual ad contents or third-party advertiser websites.
You agree not to engage in invalid ad clicks, automated click generation, or misuse of ad units.

8. Disclaimers

BioData PH services are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee:

That using our resume templates will guarantee job interviews or employment.
That the website or mobile app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or completely secure from third-party threats.
That career advice articles on our blog substitute for professional legal or human resources counsel.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BioData PH, its owners, and operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of, or inability to use, our website, mobile application, or cloud services.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising from the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) in the past twelve months.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use periodically. When changes occur, we will post the updated Terms on this page and revise the “Last updated” date.

11. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
