1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using biodata-ph.com (“the Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Site. We may update these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. The service
BioData PH provides a free online resume builder designed for Filipino job seekers. The service includes:
- Free access to resume templates with no account required
- A resume builder tool that processes data locally in your browser
- PDF download of completed resumes at no charge
- A blog with career tips and resume writing guides
- Additional template unlocks via rewarded advertising
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without prior notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
Free & premium access
Three resume templates are available at no cost, with no conditions. Seven additional templates are unlocked by viewing a short advertisement. An optional one-time upgrade (₱49) removes all ads and unlocks all templates permanently. Free access will always remain available.
3. Your content
The personal information you enter into the resume builder (name, contact details, work history, etc.) is processed entirely within your browser and is never transmitted to our servers. You retain full ownership of all content you create using BioData PH.
If you submit content to us in other ways — such as through a contact form or by email — you grant us a limited, non-exclusive right to use that content for the purpose of responding to you or improving the service.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the information you include in your resume. BioData PH is a tool, not an employment service, and we make no guarantees about the outcome of any job application.
4. Intellectual property
All content on BioData PH that is not created by users — including the website design, source code, resume template designs, blog articles, logos, and graphics — is owned by BioData PH or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or publicly display any part of the Site or its content without our prior written consent, except as follows:
- You may download and print your own completed resume for personal job application use
- You may share links to BioData PH pages on social media or other websites
- You may quote brief excerpts from our blog for commentary or educational purposes, provided you attribute BioData PH and link back to the original article
5. Prohibited use
You agree not to use BioData PH to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in a resume intended for use in a job application
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Site without our written permission
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its underlying infrastructure
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to generate resumes in bulk
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Site
- Circumvent or disable any security features, including ad-unlock mechanisms
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Transmit any malware, spyware, or other harmful code
6. Advertising
BioData PH is supported by advertising, including Google AdSense display ads and rewarded video ads. By using the Site, you acknowledge that:
- Advertisements may appear on pages you visit
- Viewing a short advertisement is required to unlock certain premium templates
- Ad content is provided by third-party networks and does not constitute an endorsement by BioData PH
- We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or policies of third-party advertisers
You may not use ad-blocking software to circumvent required rewarded ads while still accessing the template content those ads unlock. Display ads on other pages are at your discretion.
7. Disclaimers
BioData PH is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Fitness for a particular purpose (e.g., we do not guarantee your resume will result in a job offer)
- Accuracy or completeness of any content on the Site
- Uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the Site
- The reliability or quality of any third-party services linked from or integrated into the Site
Career advice and resume tips published on our blog are for general informational purposes only and do not constitute professional career or legal advice.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BioData PH and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its services.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of BioData PH shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim. Since the service is free for most users, this amount is typically zero.
9. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on this page. Material changes will be noted by updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of BioData PH after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
If you disagree with revised Terms, your only remedy is to stop using the Site.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the appropriate courts of the Philippines.
